Survey language

Hi everybody!

I have a question about the language possibilities when using Prolific.

My survey is in Dutch and I’d like to get Dutch respondents. Is it only possible to use Prolfic for English surveys? Or could I use Prolific with my Dutch survey and Dutch target group too?

Thank you!

I can tell you my experience. I also have an account as “participant” and taken part in studies conducted in my native language (which is Italian). So, I guess there would be no problem at all for you!

You can select as initial filter “Netherlands” as nationality of your participants (or, even better, “Dutch” as “first language”): this option is available in the Audience section when you create a New Study.

Anyway, let’s wait for someone of the Team for a final word on this.

Thank you for your response, that is valuable information! It is a good sign

But indeed, it’s nice to receive a confirmation from the Team as well.

Thanks!

Hey Nikki, welcome to the community! :tada:

@Veronica is exactly right! Thanks for answering

Like has been suggested, the most relevant filters would be:

  • Current Country of Residence: Netherlands
  • Nationality: Dutch
  • Country of Birth: Netherlands
  • Fluent Languages: Dutch
  • First lanuage: Dutch

You don’t need to use all of them, but those are all your options

Hi Josh! Thank you for your answer!! It’s clear now! And very happy to hear that my Dutch survey is possible.

One more question: from your experience, how long does it usually take to get respondents coming in with a Dutch language filter applied?

Happy to help!

It’s difficult to say with more niche demographics, but we typically see most studies getting all their data within 24 hours
