Slower than usual service today (22 June)

Hey folks,

If it’s seemed like using Prolific has been a bit slower than lately - you’d be correct. We’re currently experiencing a systems slowdown across all areas of the site, which may cause:

  • slower participant recruitment (or for participants, slower appearances of new studies)
  • potential issues publishing new studies
  • screens lagging and timing out

Our engineers are aiming for a fix on these later today, so please bear with and hopefully we’ll be back up at full speed soon. I’ll aim to keep you posted as best I can here, and you’ll also see a notification on service status when logging into the Prolific app. If you’ve opened a Support ticket on any of these issues, our team will also be in touch directly.
