Representative sample - based on residency or nationality?

Hey,

we want to do a representative sample. We found no information if a representative sample (UK or USA) gives us representative data based on people wo currently live in UK/USA or based on people who have the respective nationality.

We would be grateful for information on this!

hi @elenx , welcome to the forum!
I don’t think nationality is specifically required for a representative sample. It should be current resident and fluent in the language, according to the representative sampling FAQ page. Does that answer the question?

Hello! Our institution will not allow us to include international students or participants living in the US temporarily. How can we ensure these types of participants are excluded using a US representative sample?
