Rejection of participants who did not follow instructions

Hello

First time using Prolific and i had a little surprise: We ask to participants to listen to sounds (entirely and carefully) and to categorise them. For several participants (about 25%), the time spend on the task is far less than the time which is necessary to listen to the sounds… (even with a 10% tolerance).

I rejected some of them (who seem unhappy, even when i show them the data supporting that they did not follow the instruction) but i reached a limit.

To whom should i ask to increase the rejection limit? I wrote a message some days ago but no answer…

Many thanks for your help!
Pauline

Hi Pauline, welcome to the community!

I’m very sorry to hear that you’ve been having trouble with participants :frowning:

Could you provide me with your support ticket number? I’ll flag it with them team.

Hello Josh, many thanks for your answer. I have sent request (on may 7th), the ticket is 112212. Is it too early to worry? I hope that they can increase the number of rejection that i can open the study again and complete the data collection

I can confirm that our team began investigating your case on Friday, and should complete it by today. I’ve flagged it with them, so they’ll make it a priority

Let me know if you need any more help!

(P.S we’ve just launched a £10k Research Grant Competition ! You can enter if you’re in need of funds, or if you know someone who is, share it with them)

Thanks Josh! The study is now complete, the limit has been increased and i explained to the rejected participants why we could not accept their participation.
Problem solved
