The ability to attach notes to participants (notes to ourselves, not to the participants) would be very helpful, especially in the payment stage. I always get some questionable ones where they completed a 30 min experiment in 7 minutes and/or put in the wrong code and/or have an ID that isn’t present in my data file etc. For those it would be very useful to attach notes to in the prolific app itself. That way, when trying to determine if payment is warranted it is easy to see why I’m debating it, whether I’ve contacted the person already, and so forth.

This is a very good idea! It’ll give us, at Prolific, a much more holisitic view of how participants are viewed by researchers, beyond just their ‘rejection rate’. I’ve passed it along to the team in charge of this area
