Messaging: email notifications not being sent

Hey folks,

Just so you’re aware, our engineers are currently working on an issue where email notifications aren’t being sent when messages are received in Prolific messaging.

The messages themselves are getting through, it’s only the email notification sent to your inbox that isn’t working. You should, for example, be able to see a message that a participant sends you when logged into Prolific (and conversely, participants should see messages you send if they are logged in), however there’s potentially greater chance a message may get missed if one is not logged in to see it.

I’ll keep you posted on when this gets resolved - in the mean time, if you’re expecting messages, you may want to aim to check the app first before your inbox :+1:

Following up, this issue is now fully resolved. You should now be receiving a notification in your inbox when you receive a message, and equally others whom you message should now receive messages as well.

If this isn’t the case, please do flag up in a new topic under bug reports or raise a Support request if more urgent.
