Hi, I set the automatically approved submission. I found that the average reward per hour fastly increased since some participants used around 20 minutes and 13 minutes to answer my questionnaire (the estimated average time taken is around 6 minutes). I am wondering if I could reject and ask refund from these participants. And are there any ways for me to change the approval submission setting? If I stop my current study and replicate a new one, will payment for my current study be returned to my account and will I be charged an additional fee?
Does anyone meet similar problem and could you give me some advise? Thanks!
Dear Quindan
I found that the average reward per hour fastly increased since some participants used around 20 minutes and 13 minutes to answer my questionnaire (the estimated average time taken is around 6 minutes).
Some participants may take a break during the survey but if there are several it is likely that they just took longer, and your estimate was therefore, an underestimate.
I am not sure why you would want to reject the efforts of those who took longer than your underestimate.
Fortunately for you, the there is only a requirement that you pay more if the median time taken is less than the minium required payment per hour so the fact there are some “some” participants who took longer will probably (?) not require you to increase payments to everyone.
That said, if participants take longer that a maxiumum time then they will be marked as “timed out.”
If you have set automatic approval then I know of no way to change the setting “APPROVED.”
If you stop the current study then you will only be charged for the completed places, unless it is a representative sample study in which case their is a set fee in addition to the fee per participant (I think).

ok, thanks for your help! Tim
