Forfeiture of claims

Hello, I am a researcher and this is my first time using the prolific platform.

I made a purchase of credits in November and due to problems I have not yet been able to start launching the study on the platform. I would like to know how long the credits are available to me.

I would be surprised if there is any limit on Prolific credits.
I have been using Prolific for three or four years and I have
never been aware of any limit, nor of any warning of any limit.
At no time has my balance reduced.

There is no mention of any limit in the FAQ. I would, indeed,
I do not worry about the expiry of my credits at all.

But to be absolutely certain you will need to contact

The answer was:

When you top up your account, these funds will remain available for at least 12 months after you last logged in or took any action on the account (e.g. approving a submission).

Please note that in future we may charge a ‘dormant account fee’ after 12 months of inactivity. After 18 months of inactivity, we may close the account. Further information can be found in Section 3 ‘Study Costs, and sums in your Researcher Account’ of our Researcher Terms. You will be notified in advance if either of the above is going to be implemented.

That is very useful information. I will take care not to leave my account dormant for more than 12/18 months.
