Description of Data
General Overview
The study goal was to test the psychometric properties of a new altruism scale. We expected to find positive relationships between scores on this new measure and existing altruisms scales. We expected to find positive relationships between this new altruism scale and other positive personality traits (i.e., gratitude, Honesty/Humility) and negative relationships with antisocial traits (i.e., sadism, social dominance orientation). We also expected to find positive relationships with protective COVID-19 behaviours, such as mask-wearing ans social distancing. Finally, we expected that scores on this new altruism scale would be positively associated with donation intention for the gift card draw.
