Data given with Prolific ID

Hi there!

I have completed several studies with Prolific and, after downloading the demographic information associated with the Prolific ID from participants in my study, I see that I have access to more data than I requested for. Like, Age, Nationality, Country of Birth, Country of Residence and Employment Status.

Did participants acknowledge to always provide these details? Otherwise, I guess I shouldn’t use it as I didn’t state it in the Consent Form.

Hello @lcp,

These are data always provided with the Prolific export. You can use it since participants gave consent to it, unless they return their submission (in which case you shall see ‘consent revoked’ for these observations). Please read more about this here:
