Hi there,
I usually work with children and adolescents. In lab-based studies, we usually get parents to bring their youngsters and sign consent forms for them. We also go through the training trials with younger kids to make sure that they probably understand them.
Iβve mostly used Prolific to do pilot my tasks before testing them with kids, but I was wondering if it would be possible to do some actual testing of young people as well. Does anyone have experience with this? I wonder how to go about taking consent and ensuring that itβs the young people doing the experiment rather than their parents. Any comments are much appreciated!

Hey Joe, unfortunately, per our terms & conditions, all participants on Prolific must be at least 18 years of age to sign up. So, recruiting children through their parents is against our current company policy, but weβre hoping to provide support for this type of study in the future.
Sorry I donβt have better news!
