Hi
I collect data anonymously. I want to pay for their attendance after looking at their choice. Should I need to add the Prolific ID area in my experiment? What kind of information do I know after they complete it?
If they don’t do anything or click the same score during the game, I have to discard their data.
Please help me.
Thanks
Hi Gozde, welcome to the Forum!
Should I need to add the Prolific ID area in my experiment?
Yes, if you want to match participant demographic data with their answers, you need to record participants’ IDs through your survey tool. You have two options here: either adding a question in your study where participants have to manually type (or paste) their IDs, or use a way to automatically collect them (URL parameters) as you see below:
What kind of information do I know after they complete it?
A part from the answers to the questions and any other information you will collect through your survey tool, Prolific provides you with some basic information of each participant identified by his/her ID. These are for example sex, age, nationality etc. You can read about the full list, as well as how to extract the data, on this page.
You can also have access to more data if you use the pre-screeners in a certain way. You can read about how to do it in this post. Just note that the example I made there is with ‘Sex’ for simplicity, since instead sex info is data you would already get by default.
If they don’t do anything or click the same score during the game, I have to discard their data.
Yes, you can reject submissions and hence not paying participants if their submission is rejected. Important thing is to have a valid reason for it. You may want to read all the details here.
Hope it helps
hi Veronica,
I need to increase my rejection limitation.
Could you please help me?

Hope the previous reply has been helpful to solve your initial doubts.
Coming to increasing rejection limits, this is not something you can do automatically. The Prolific Team has to handle this kind of requests. You can get in touch with them by sending a request from this form. Also, you can read more about the topic on this page.
Cheers!
Veronica

When will they come back to me?
I’m in rush and I have to complete it asap
It depends, there is no standard.
But maybe @Josh can help here, and flag your request to be prioritized!
I wrote an email to him. hope he can help me.
the experiment should be completed around 55 mins. a lot of people just stay there around 35 mins without reactions etc
Nobody helps me. Why?
Could you please let me know when I get a response?
I’ve just sent you a PM. Apologies for the delay
